Community Planning & Public EngagementNick specializes in facilitating engagement between communities, public land managers, and various stakeholders to ensure broad involvement in decisions related to public lands.
Management and analysis of GIS data to inform critical planning and education efforts. He brings experience with grant and agreement administration, budgeting, and project implementation. Nick has assisted various communities across the West conduct outdoor recreation assessment and planning efforts with stakeholder engagement, GIS-based story mapping and reports, and strategic implementation plans. |
Land Use PlanningNick has extensive experience working as a public land manager to create land use plans that balance recreation and other user demands, regulatory requirements, and conservation to protect habitat, biodiversity, water, wildlife, cultural resources and/or scenery.
Nick served as the Trails and Dispersed Recreation Program Manager for the USFS Rocky Mountain Region, where he developed national and regional trail and recreation policies and strategies to increase agency capacity, improve various recreation assets including motorized and non-motorized, shooting ranges and publish press releases for recreation-related fire restrictions. These policies and strategies were implemented region-wide. Environmental Compliance (NEPA)Nick has extensive experience as a project manager and NEPA coordinator for a broad range of recreation, trail, travel management, special use permit and landscape scale projects.
